The media is all a buzz this week about the upcoming wedding of Chelsea Clinton to Marc Mezvinsky on Saturday, July 31, in some secret location in the upstate New York village of Rhinebeck. According to recent reports, the wedding price tag is at at least $3 million dollars. After all, she is the daughter of a former President and her mom is now the Secretary of State. I couldn’t help wonder what Chelsea, a natural born “curly girl” will due with her tresses on her wedding day. Will she go with the flow and let it curl or will she go sleek and straight?
The first thing I had to find out was what accuweather has predicted for Chelsea’s big day. According to this report, the Frizz Forecast is “unlikely for all hair types”. That is good news, but which way will Chelsea go? With a Hair and Makeup budget of $20,000, anything is possible. According to a report just put out by Women’s Wear Daily, Chelsea stepped out on Tuesday, July 27, with her hair pulled back “in an aisle-worthy updo”. This was not known by people on the street, as she had a big straw hat covering her hair and face. A girl with that big of a hair budget could go either curly or sleek, but I wanted to research what hair styles she has been seen in lately. After all, we all the know truth, she has had her share of “bad hair days”.
When Chelsea Clinton first blipped on the television screen, she was a shy little girl in curls. She let it grow long, then short, than long again. You can see Chelsea Clinton’s “hairstory” on Time’s website, as they thought this topic was just as interesting and encouraging as I did ! It is evident from these photos that Chelsea had to weather the curly hair bumps in the road just like us regular people. Even famous people have their share of bad hair days on record and it just makes more like one of us. Do you agree or disagree?

It’s nice that she can afford to have such a big wedding, but I can’t imagine paying that much no matter how much money you have!
Well, no matter how rich or famous you are, you can’t change nature!
The press sure had a fun time tracking her hair days. She had some bad ones. Thank goodness no one takes a picture of me daily.

I remember seeing pictures of her when I was younger and realizing the President’s daughter had all the same hair troubles that I did made me pretty proud of my hair. She has certainly grown up beautiful. I hope that her wedding day is all that she hopes it will be and more.
I don’t have curly hair, but even those with straight hair, like me, can have our fair share of frizzy hair. I’m glad I wear tichels so no one can see my bad hair days, which is almost every day!
I totally agree, everyone has bad hair days and Chelsea has definitely had her share! Lucky for her she has finally found a good stylist!
As to the hair issue, yes she’s had bad hair days. Thank God most of us will never have to endure the cruelty she was subjected to for simply looking normal.
As to the wedding budget, it makes me truly sick. Yes her parents are high profile and high dollar, but shouldn’t that lead them to be better examples of what to do with that wealth. Her parents are all over the place telling me to donate my money to Haiti and loan programs and health organizations because my $25 will go so far in the third world. Makes you wonder how far a couple of those million might go.
I have really curly hair and have definitely experienced frizzy days. That’s why I stuck with curls for my wedding.
She is still a female after all, and has good and bad hair days like the rest of us…sure that on her wedding, her hair will no doubt look fabulous! Congrats to her and her soon to be dh! @anniemos on twitter
I always felt sorry for Chelsea, having to go through her “awkward years”–and we all have them–in the public eye. That was a rough, rough thing to do but she always did it with poise and while I didn’t agree with her and her family’s politics, I did admire her for the way she’s conducted herself, with dignity and grace, even during some ugly periods in history, politics, and her parents’ marriage. I hope she has a very happy life with her new husband.
Tweeted this story on Chelsea.
Quite frankly, I don’t care if she shaves her head for the wedding… sorry, for some reason I can’t get into the buzz. Now Princess Victoria of Sweden – THERE were some details I followed!
But maybe that’s because I am a German transplant to the States…
Aw, the poor kid! Her puberty days were worse than mine AND she had the media on her tail! We always seem to expect celebrities and famous people to always look perfect, but the truth is, they’re people just like us. I often wish though, that more celebs would get a hold of the Curly Girl Method instead of spending thousands of dollars to get it straightened.
Weddings are important. I get that. But the amount of money she’s spending could feed a small country. As for her hair, everyone has bad hair days…but that’s what hats are for!!
I agree. We are all the same.

No matter how she wears her hair I hope she enjoys every minute of her day. Whoever fixes it will make it look beautiful. I think natural curls would be the best though.
I have curly, frizzy hair and I love wearing tichels so no one can see the mess underneath. It saves me time getting dressed in the morning because I don’t need to wet and gel my hair anymore.
They say girls choose to marry a guy like dear old dad. In her case, I surely hope not!variables pincers
Tweeted this. thanks.
I’m sure she’ll look lovely. The budget for hair and make up alone is so big (more than double my entire wedding and honeymoon), that it’d be difficult to have a bad hair day.
always had straight hair but had my share of frizzy days…not fun.
Well at that price i hope the marriage works lol!
I guess that they can afford it but its depressing to know that much money is being spent for one day.
Since she has naturally curly hair, I think that a do with loose curls is magnificent. No matter how humid it would be, naturally curly hair will hold the curls (straight hair would likely go limp). Curly updos always remind me of fairytales. If you are going to spend that much on a wedding (can’t imagine why anyone would), make yourself look like the fairytale princess.
What I wouldn’t give for a $20,000 hair and makeup budget!! She’s going to look beautiful!!

Chelsea should try coveryourhair!
i retweeted!!! this is fantastic!
It’s really too bad that she’s spending so much…yes, it’s her big day and she needs to make it delightfully memorable, but most people in the world won’t make as much in their lifetime as she is spending on her wedding. A smaller wedding in exchange for a larger donation to charity would be even better than spending big bucks on things like hair (which will probably just be covered by a veil anyway!).
I think she looked stunning, hair and all, it was her special day. Though you right a lot of money to spend, especially with the economy at the moment. I guess at the end of the day it was her wedding day.
